This production was a programme of sketches, readings and carols, organised by
Sue Steele. The production was particularly interesting for the audience as
Mary, played by Katrina Armstrong, was 7 months pregnant at the time.

Four Before Easter

Flitwick Methodist Church
This very poignant production directed by Freddie Holden told the Easter story
through the experiences of three of the leading characters. Directed by Paul
Lovett the evening consisted of 2 One Act Plays - The Droitwich Discovery by
Nick Warburton and What Shall we do with the body by Rae Shirley.

With boisterous enthusiasm the audience tried to unravel the murky goings on
within the Heavenly Hearts Dating Agency, Jonathan Oakley's transvestite
solicitor, Angela Hunt's Tallyho widow, or Julia Stafford's haunted journalist.
We may do it again so I won't tell you.

readings and carols.

A Feast of Comedy
Three One Act Plays
The evening consisted of An Englishman Abroad by Alan Bennett, directed by
Chris Rowe, with Mike Bowden as Guy Burgess and Julia Stafford as Coral Browne;
' I Read The News Today' by Willy Russell, directed by Julia Stafford; and
What's for Pudding by David Tristram, directed by Chris Rowe. In the last
production Richard Wood brought the house down as a waywood Brummie with a hole
in his pocket.

growing conviction of St. Joan, played by Ev Russell to follow her vision.

A Feast of Murder (Toll The Bell)

This was the Group's first Murder Night. This comedy thriller told the story of
a murder committed during the rehearsals of an amateur dramatic production of
Macbeth and subsequent investigations of Inspector Keats.

The Three Knaves of Normandy and various sketches directed by Paul Lovett
proved a successful fund-raiser at Westoning and involved the assembling and
dismantling of a four-poster bed on the Chancel steps.

members of the Group were involved in various sketches in the second half of
the evening.

In this very moving Easter story we find that Angela Hunt in the end is not the
mother of Jesus but the Mother of Judas, a story which moved audiences through
all productions.
